Affordable Technology Solutions, LLC is a managed IT services provider in Columbia, South Carolina, founded in 2004 by Scott Sanders. We support small businesses that run on their computers and do not have an IT department of their own.
01 / TWENTY TWO YEARS
Scott Sanders founded Affordable Technology Solutions, LLC in 2004 to serve small businesses and residential clients with IT solutions. The aim was to provide business and residential IT customers with reliable and affordable technology solutions that work. That is still the aim.
Two things have held for 22 years. The company is still owner-operated and locally owned, so you deal directly with the person doing the work. And one line has stayed on this website the whole time, because it is still the most accurate description of the job: we find problems before you do.
02 / THE FOUNDER
Technology has been a part of Scott Sanders' life from an early age, and growing up in his family's business gave him firsthand insight into the challenges business owners face and the important role technology can play in their success. In 2004, Scott founded Affordable Technology Solutions, LLC with a mission to provide honest, dependable, and proactive IT support, and more than two decades later, ATS serves businesses across the United States with managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, network infrastructure, equipment lifecycle management, and strategic technology consulting. Scott remains committed to building lasting client relationships and providing practical technology solutions that improve efficiency, reduce frustration, and help businesses confidently use technology to achieve their goals.

04 / HOW WE WORK
We monitor and maintain the systems we look after. Remote monitoring and management, patch management, server and workstation management, and equipment lifecycle management all exist for the same reason: small issues get handled before they turn into downtime.
Every business is a target for ransomware, phishing and data breaches, whatever its size, so protection goes in alongside everything else we manage. Advanced firewall management, secure backups, multi-factor authentication, zero trust principles, and security awareness training for the people who use the systems every day.
We also fix problems as they come up, from email issues to device repair, with no contract in place.
ATS is owner-operated, so you talk to someone who knows your business rather than a ticket queue.
You do not need to understand a firewall rule to describe what is going wrong, and you will not be talked down to for asking.
Nothing gets recommended just to pad an invoice, and we are not in the business of pushing hardware or upgrades you have no reason to buy.
